Master craftsmen from all over India, many of whom have been honoured with state, national and international awards, are associated with us. We have artisans of textile printing and embroidery, terra cotta, wood craft, metal craft, fibre craft(jute, reed mats, cane and bamboo, sital pati or cool mats, etc.), handmade paper, papier mache, shantiniketan leather, shola wood, stone and marble, glass and many more crafts making various types of utility and decorative items.
The objective, apart from being commercial, was
To promote Indian craft and create a platform from where the authentic items can be made available.
A platform to improve the quality of the products and contribute towards development of new and innovative products.
Enhance the production and hence export of the Indian Handicrafts and contribute towards preservation of Indian crafts.
Generate employment opportunity for the artisan tribe.
All the products displayed on this site are made by the ‘not so rich’ but highly skilled man-power. The products are picked directly from the artisans thereby cutting the cost of the middle-men. As a result, all the items reach you at the best of prices, a price which is better than any other outlet.
This site was initially skewed towards providing information and education about the Indian Art and Crafts only but innumerable requests to display the products forced us to launch the showroom in the present form. The showroom is still growing and we hope to bring many more products in the days to come.
As can be seen by the site, we had decided to trade in bulk quantities only, but considering the request of the customers we have opened it to cater to the retail customers also. The prices mentioned here were for bulk orders only but we are extending the same rates to retail orders also, ofcourse, each order must be worth atleast USD 200. Indian customers can order products worth INR 2000 also.
We hereby welcome you for any query regarding products displayed here. You may get in touch with us at the email given below.
