Cut Glass of Punjab
Amritsar the most sacred place of Punjab has skilled artists working in glass ware and produce products which are pleasing to the eye. Cut glass for decanters, bowls, ash trays, flower vases, ice pales, plates etc are made in Amritsar and Mohali(chandigarh). Many of the glass products are frosted in coloured shades. Main raw materials are the old broken pieces of melted glass or a mixture of sand stone powder and carbonate of soda.
